Pain relief without drugs
I ordered these without much hope that they would do any good but I'm willing to try almost anything to diminish the pain in my hands. I have really problematic tendons (bad genetics, apparently) and have had surgery on most of the joints in my body at one time or another to correct problems & relieve painful conditions. My hands have now joined the circus, with trigger fingers and inflamed tendons making much of what I do no longer possible. After my most recent surgery for a trigger thumb, my doctor blithely told me to stop playing music (classical guitar), stop crocheting, stop typing (I'm a

Functional, not too tight
I tried the DFO compression gloves without the 'grippy dots' at first. They're super comfy, snug but not too tight, and apply just a bit of pressure all around. The wrists aren't snug, but they don't droop or flop around. My hands have been freezing and swollen lately and I do a lot of typing, and the regular gloves allowed me to continue computer work without any hiccups. They aren't great for doing a lot of other things, though - don't try to pick up a can of soda from the side, for instance. It'll slip right through. Driving is bad, too.So I tried a different brand I found here, came in a 2

Could use an XS size for smaller hands.
Gloves appear to be well made. The things I was worried about have proven to be the downsides to this product, but to be fair, I think all the gloves I looked at had the same issues.1) I have very small hands - under 2-3/4 specified for the Small size. The gloves do not seem to have as much compression as I want. Perhaps when my hands are really swollen the gloves would feel tighter, but when the swelling is down and my hands and joints still hurt, a little more pressure would be nice. Those wishing light to medium pressure will be fine.2). The fingers do not cover the end knuckles where I hav

Love these gloves!
I have been using a computer for work for over 10 years and was feeling the effects. Bone spurs popped up in my fingers and wrists. My right wrist was so swollen and painful that it made it difficult to complete my shift every day. The pain was intense. My daughter gave me these gloves for Christmas and I thought, "Yeah ok, I'll humor her and wear them." The very first day, the pain left my fingers and wrist and I was able to complete my shift without pain. The soreness is still there but the stabbing pain is just gone! I had tried CBD cream and ibuprofen and all I got was stinky and heartburn

Amazing compression gloves
My husband has had arthritis pain in right hand to where it is difficult for him to do anything until he started using the compression glove. He isn't one to try something he feels won't work but once he put the glove on he said it felt good. He said the first day he had it on he could start to feel the difference. I just received 2 more pairs so he won't have to go without while the other is being laundered. I am so glad I stumbled on your web sight and help .

Good gloves
I originally bought a pair of these gloves to protect the palm of my hand due to some eczema. I bought the gloves not realizing they were a medium but they actually fit. I then misplaced the gloves so I clicked the 'buy it again' button and received another pair promptly. They were the same size but felt much, much smaller so I thought maybe something went wrong with using the buy it again button but I then compared and sure enough, the first pair were also medium. I have since found my first pair and the second pair is most definitely a tighter fit, so much so that my pinkie is a bit strangle

Not good for cold office or mouse use
These gloves are a little less than 'okay' for me. I bought them because my office is cold and I'm looking for a way to keep my hands warm (without getting a space heater), but still be capable of typing, using a mouse, etc. Unfortunately, these just don't fit the bill. I can still 'feel' the cold, but now my fingers are under compression, and I've lost grip. The compression makes typing a bit uncomfortable because it's not 'normal.' Since I type thousands of words a week, I need to be productive, and the added compression means additional mistakes. Grip is lost on my mouse due to the smooth an

Large men's not large
The glove looks great and is made from great material. it is a hard compression glove. The material and quality of stitching are great. If you have small (skinny) hands with long fingers, they'd probably be perfect for you. However, the unmarked package I received cannot possibly be made for an American male's large hands. I'm female and, yes, a little overweight. I buy large gloves because I believe they are mostly made for skinny Asian hands or model's hands. This seems to be true here. The fingers are extra long,--they cover my fingernails to the tip of my fingers. I think the appropriate si

I've been wearing them for a couple of hours doing various things and i'm happy that I can still knit fairly well with these gloves still on. I have painful issues with both of my hands and wrists. So far I feel they are starting to help with some pain but not all. I might have to update my review later if anything changes. They are made of very nice material. Breathable and light. I get replacements every time I wear out a pair. Right hand, my dominate, glove always wears out first. I need to find a lefty so we can make pairs out of our leftovers.

Since I used to wake up in the morning with very stiff fingers, by sleeping in the glove I wake up pain-free. I wear it at least eight hours a day/night even if Im not in pain. They are extremely comfortable and since my tendency is to curl my hand in a fist when I sleep, just having them on somehow prevents me from clenching. Snug fingers, loose wrists
Just got these gloves for hand and wrist pain. They fit well through the hand and fingers, and seem very supportive there. The grippy nubs improve my grip without feeling uncomfortable. The gloves are very thin and don't get in my way at all. Fairly well made, especially for the price. A few loose threads but no structural issues.Unfortunately, these gloves are tight enough in the fingers but looser in the wrist, which is where most of my pain comes from. They don't seem to help my wrist pain at all. There's also a VERY itchy tag on the inside of both gloves, right at the wrist. I don't want to

More Than I'd Hoped For
As soon as I put these on, my hands felt better. The compression is soothing on my palms and the sides of my hands, while not doing as much for pain relief in my individual fingers. However, they do relieve some of the resistance in my joints, and I'm able to type much faster and more accurately on both phone and computer. The design of the fingers, going all the way up to the last joint, is phenomenal. It really does seem like I have my old hands back :)For reference, I'm in my 20s with nerve issues and small patches of psoriatic arthritis here and there. The worst/best documented is in my spi

Comfortable and comforting.
.I do a lot of crafting----beading, crocheting, knitting, painting----and my Baby Boomer fingers are beginning to complain! I knew as soon as I put these on that these would be my favorite compression gloves. Here's why.First, they're soft. They don't have an orthopedic feel to them. The cotton-spandex blend makes them comfortable and snug.Second, and unlike my other open-fingered compression gloves, the material fully covers the knuckles. That's important, because it makes little sense to wear compression gloves that leave your knuckles open to the cold. And, the edges of the fabric are serge

The arthritis makes my hands stiff and these gloves help. Sometimes I can wear them while working on projects. Manufacturing flaw?
My wife loves your arthritis gloves. I've already given a five-star rating on them in a previous review. However, after wearing them for just about a month, she noticed that they started to come unraveled at the seams. There seemed to be one thread that was the linchpin to the material in the finger seam to the rest of the glove on her left hand. She is also a seamstress and noticed that there were little 'knots' that blocked the seams in the other fingers. In the little finger seam area, it looked like there was a 'knot' missing--hence the unraveling began. She said she noticed them the first

I found previous reviews to be accurate. They tend to run small if you are borderline between sizes. The seams are also irritating and they are not sewn well. One seam ripped the first time I tried to take them off. I am sewing it back together. My main reason for writing this review is to try and help people who have neuropathic or arthritic pain. I insert a small heat pack in the palm when putting the gloves on and it makes a significant difference in my neuropathic pain level. Definitely compression gloves and exactly what I expected!
I ordered these back in December and I'm still going strong with my pair. Even with daily use and weekly washings! I have not had problems with seams popping or being odd shaped. The gloves are tight and it did take me a week or so to adjust to them. But that's why I bought them was for the compression. I have Lupus and found these to be more helpful than the pain medications I was taking, They do not heat themselves, but they do help hold some of my body warmth, thus keeping my hands warm. Yet the material is breathable as I don't get hot and I can feel a breeze through them, which makes the

I LOOOVE THESE GLOVES!!!
I have bad neuropathic, stinging, burning, stabbing pain in my hands due to MS. These gloves helped soothe this pain to bearable levels. I also wear them when I exercise when it is cold out and they are perfect. Even exercise gloves can become too hot and must be taken off, but these are perfect for running in cold, even rainy weather. The gloves insulate you, but don't overheat you.Lastly, I'm a millennial, so I am always on my phone. I started to get some strain in my right index and thumb (since I primarily use those fingers on my phone), and when I wear the gloves, the strain is minimized.

These do the job!
I have been wearing the glove for about a week, mostly while working, although sometimes if my hand is particularly 'achy' I will wear it in the evening. Although it is lightweight it feels heavy duty and does an excellent job at compression. I never thought I had big hands but this glove feels short through the palm area. It is not uncomfortable just takes getting used to. Also just for information it seems to run a little smaller than other gloves I have tried. I always order a medium and this one feels more snug. I really don't know how to rate these. Do they work? YES! There are a couple of downsides to them First they were much tighter at the finger ends than the ones from the physical therapist (small size). My fingers turned white from this (I have Raynaud's). There is a tag on the inside that is very uncomfortable but I know if I try to cut it out it will cause a hole in the seam. Awesome.......mostly. Great buy.
Let me start by saying these gloves do exactly what they say they will. I love them...mostly. But the main way they help me is they way a band-ade helps. You get a paper-cut on your finger. You put a bandade on it even though the wound itself doesn't call for one. Why? Because it is a constant, tactile reminder to not bump it. Right? That's what the gloves do for me. When I'm wearing them they remind me to be gentle with my hands and for God's sake DON'T BUMP THEM! So yes I recommend them. My only complaint applies to all the different brands I have seen. even better than the brand recommended by the therapist
These arthritis gloves are really effective, and believe me...I've tried lots of others. The level of compression is superb, even better than the brand recommended by the therapist. I've not experienced any issues with fraying or tearing of seams, and although I put them on and take them off multiple times daily, they seem quite sturdy. I haven't yet washed them, so I can't speak to that. There does seem to be some small warming benefit as well as the compression aspect, but nothing major. I think that even if they do feel a little too hot during warmer weather, the fabric is such that it will

Fits the bill- just what my hands need.
I've turned the corner and am noticing stiffness. Plus I generally keep the thermostat at 65 in winter months, so I was looking for some gloves that would keep my hands toasty. Any benefits for stiffness will be welcome, but having just received these, I can't testify to whether it helps or not. I did want to keep my finger tips exposed for using the computer keyboard. I have square shaped hands, so I ordered the large. The size is mostly good. The fingers are for a man sized finger, so they cover more of my finger than in the photo, but should work for my purposes. I like the material.

Disappointed and frustrated
I ordered 2 pairs of gloves because my hand measurements were exactly 2 3/4 inch and I wasn't sure if the small or medium would fit better. I tried on the small and my hands started throbbing in pain so I put them back in the package. I tried on the mediums and one felt tighter than the other. My husband agrees that the gloves are 2 different sizes. They fit differently and hit the knuckles at different areas. One glove is tighter and shorter all around. I check the tag and it says medium. Will be returning both and ordering another medium in hopes they are both the same size. Also the middle

Good Grippy Product
Grippy glove as described as an Amazon product. My first try-on of the medium sized glove was extremely tight but subsequently it aligned with my hand shape and found it most rewarding for relieving pain. On my first try-on, my fingertips felt tightly squeezed but after the 3rd day, my entire hand felt normal in size. I guess, prior to the glove, my hand was swollen due to arthritis, but the 'grippy' glove kept it in check by the 7th day. I like this product because no other products worked this effectively such as herbs, acupuncture, and pain medications. A minor complaint is that few threads

Buyer beware!
Too bad it's not possible to give a product -0- points. I wear compression gloves when crafting to protect my joints from discomfort. I always get a Small size. These 'Small' gloves are extremely tight! I put them on and within an hour, the circulation to my fingertips was so impaired, the skin turned cold. After removing the gloves, I noticed nerve pain in the left ring finger and pinky. Now, a week and half later, the pain is still there. Additionally, when I go out in the cold weather, the pain is more severe, despite heavy mittens. I strongly urge buyers to look at other brands of compress

The soreness is still there but the stabbing pain is just gone! .I do a lot of crafting----beading, crocheting, knitting, painting----and my Baby Boomer fingers are beginning to complain!

Because they are compression and therefore tight, they are difficult to get off (with my painful thumbs) and I'm still working on the best way to do that. If I pull the finger tips off, I te

So Thankful the pain is Gone
I wake up each morning with my hands so swollen that I can't bend my fingers, pour coffee or hold the coffee cup. It takes hours for the swelling to go down. I've tried aspercream, arnica, heat linement and a plethora of other topical ointments; nothing worked. The first time I tried these gloves on it felt like a massage. I cleaned the house and my hands hurt so much I couldn't wait to try the gloves again. I put them on and slept with them. They are lightweight and comfortable. This morning was the first time that I could move my fingers and there was no swelling!I can't recommend these enou

Would recommend!
I don't have arthritis, but I bought these for major discomfort and pain in my hands and knuckles. They have worked pretty well to alleviate some discomfort with regular usage. The pressure they provide is noticeable but definitely not overwhelming. They are very comfortable, soft and breathable as well. Looks exactly as pictured also.

I purchased these gloves after much research and began wearing them on January 29, 2017. I wear them constantly and even sleep in them. I have to say that this is the FIRST product that has actually provided any relief from the nearly constant pain in my hands and wrists. I am not able to use any anti-inflammatory drugs or pain medications due to gastrointestinal issues. I tried wearing braces for carpal tunnel which not only did not provide relief but did cause issues with sleeping. The gloves are very comfortable to wear, they do not bind at all and keep my wrists, hands and fingers warm. I

even better than the brand recommended by the therapist

By far the best gloves I've tried to date (3 others have failed me)
I got these Dr. Frederick's Original Arthritis Gloves - Warmth and Compression for relief of Rheumatoid and Osteoarthritis Joint Pain - Small from Dr. Frederick's Original I have a lot of hand pain due to Fibromyalgia. I have had several pairs of these gloves, and I like these best so far. Ive gotten wicking material ones, and copper ones, but these seem to be the best made out of all Ive tried, and fit the best too. Other started unraveling at the finger ends within a week of getting and wearing them, the the hems/seams on these seem pretty well sewn and will last. Also, other gloves have fit
