Medtronic / Covidien - 2110sa - Calculi Strainer

What I actually needed -- and what I suspect others would need as well -- was a barb-to-strainer, not a slip-to-strainer. Slip to strainer just meant adapters, less easy to handle, etc. Annoying. And they do make them. be nice if BRS carried them. The part itself was perfectly fine, if that's what you need, for instance if you're going into a bulkhead slip fitting instead of 1/2" hose... Still, mad credit to the guys for getting me going, wrong fitting or not. They know *exactly* what they are doing here. Great place to do this kind of business.

I am running a 65g with 20g sump. 9.5 mag pump with 3/4 piping. I just started this hobby 3 weeks ago and took the plunge into building a reef tank. (total rookie) These work as exactly as described, however, they do restrict waterflow. With that being said, it might be a good idea to upsize your drains if you are running a larger pump. Quality is great and made of thick plastic. I tried cutting a few ribs off and had to get a good pair of pliers to do so.
