Hollister - New Image - 18193 - Colostomy Pouch Two - Piece System 12 Inch Length Drainable

Without notice, Hollister modified the Original, New Image pouch. I've been using the original version for more than two years without any problems. The new version of this pouch is awful. In fact, I have had 3 of the last 10 pouches tear and leak. The opening is now made of thick, rigid plastic without any flexibility, The lock and roll no longer exists. There is now a very flimsy flap lock that doesn't hold up and because of the stiff, rigid opening, the entire emptying process is very difficult to handle. The new pouch is not reliable and Hollister finally broke what wasn't broken and made a mess out of an excellent product.

I might suggest that anyone reading this review to consider the risks of leakage and contamination caused by these leaks, to try it before you buy it. However, don't try it unless Hollister supplies you with a a couple of the original version along with the latest version so you can compare the two. If you like the original lock and roll version, complain to Hollister and let them know. Hollister has made a mistake by modifying the original version and turning it into a poorly designed substitute that doesn't work.

I received wrong item. How do I return and get item needed? I wanted item Hollister #18184 in lieu of the Hollister #18194 that I received. Please advise to procedure to accomplish the exchange. Thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

First of all, let me stop you from searching for a better price on any item on here. I've done all that and it always lead me back to Blowout Medical. Seriously. Search no more because the prices here can't be beat. As for this product and all the products ordered on here, it is always shipped to HAWAI'I in 3-4 days. That's awesome because other vendors takes a longer time AND the shipping fees are to the roof. I come here because of the shipping fees. I love this product, it's really heavy or rather a good quality made pouch. It doesn't leak, nor smells. It has a filter included which releases the gas from your fart but you can't really smell it and you don't have to open up the tabs to release the gas. For awhile there when I began using a bag (3 weeks ago) I would freak out on the farting and nightmares if the bag would bust open. Because I don't wear the bags for days at a time, I prefer to change the bag more then normal. I have both styles, the lock 'n roll closure and the full closure. The lock 'n roll is perfect for those who needs to stretch the bags and empties it out after each use. I found it hard to do and gross. So I ordered more and now I feel okay to change it more then the norm. As far as the sticky part, it works well for me. Didn't have a problem yet and now I'm getting used to using these bags.
